Chris Rudolph Signature Skateboard Deck

Professional skim-boarder Chris Rudolph worked closely with Monkey Business on developing his signature series skate deck. Together we wanted to make a deck that replicated as close to how a skim-board rides as possible. Every skim-boarder has to deal with the inconsistency of ridable tide and wave shore conditions. Growing up in Laguna Beach, CA Chris always had a lot of options when the wave conditions weren't ideal. One thing he loved was skating the perfect world famous hills in Laguna Beach.

With the Laguna Beach community built around and close to the Ocean, every skim-boader growing up skates to beach, so Chris felt he should design a deck thats made with the skim-boarder in mind. From the grip, shape and materials in mind everything about his deck screams skim-boarding.

Here's what Chris had to say about his deck:

"Skim-boarding and Skateboarding are sports born from the same mother. I was a street-skater for a few years when I was in high school, the tricks and technique that I learned on a skate was enormously helpful to my skimming. My "Skim and Destroy" skate deck is a board that I personally deigned & love to ride, it is sort of a hybrid of a street deck and a longboard. All of my skimmer friends skate, some like to do tricks and others just like to cruise; this deck is designed to work for both types of skating. When the waves are shitty I can still satisfy my skim cravings by carving up the hills, popping tricks, and launching gaps.
